Why the soccer field?

Shared by the community. A place where everyone comes together and has shared interests.

Our team spent a lot of time discussing with the community and researching between different villages. A soccer field is a place that is shared and enjoyed by everyone in the community. We heard from a lot of locals that there is no area to sit and watch the games. no nets on the goals. no fencing.

The soccer field could use some love it’s overdue. It would be nice if the soccer field was worked on and fixed up

Arts and cultural Space.

Why a community art and cultural space?

Seine Bight is predominately a Garifuna community. But it is also inclusive of many other cultures within Belize. Many traditions are reliant on those who reside in these villages to pass down their knowledge. Giving them a space to practice and share these skills would help future generations.

A Playground.

Why a Playground?

While adults and young teens play soccer. Many of the younger children don’t have a space nearby to play. Creating a playground in this central area would allow everyone in the community to come and have a space they can enjoy.

It would be nice if the smaller children like my daughter Sofia and other moms could bring their children to the field and have a play area.
